This is all great, but what about the facilities trying to become FARR and follow all guidelines, and the fact that there is not enough QUALIFIED PEOPLE or the time for someone to come into these sober livings.. I AM ASKED DAILY, HOW TO BECOME QUALIFIED…I send them to the proper websites and no availability because of the overwhelming (positive) change that is happening..
I have some suggestions and will send to or speak with the board, I guess..
The info is great, Thank you

First and formost, what a phenomenal list of links posted. Those in and of themselves will be a great service to many.

There were some contradictions and absolutes which cause concern for me, as I only convey my thoughts, that may prevent someone in need of the help they seek. Not all have had the benefit of in-patient tx. and many who have may indeed succumb to relapse as the article states. Additionally, some newly abstinent are resistant and are not going to follow the rules yet others may be eager and willing to go to any lengths. There are alternate more welcoming approaches than an initial scare tactic of being put out on the street after possibly decades of substance use if there is a positive UA as that may turn away anyone.

As for the recovery residences helping to foster a new way of life and how to attain that, does that impact cost as trained clinicians may be needed. This refers to earlier reference to those who may not have had the benefit of treatment and there is a portion of those that have did not experience treatment that focused on this either).

There is a wealth of knowledge in the article that is extremely helpful, but my belief is we have to be so cautious about how we phrase certain aspects of what we seek to accomplish as some people truly have never had any education on this.

I myself work in a treatment center. The level of difficulty there is to report one of these patient brokers or people doing things unethically is crazy. I had a marketer harassing one of our clients here who asked multiple times to stop calling. They have tried bribing him to come to them rather than stay here with us. I have been searching all over the web to find an email or phone number to contact but the search has only led me here. I would really appreciate it if someone could please get back to me about a contact email to report unethical treatment centers.
