Drug Rehab Marketing Citations Hurt CEO’s

Why are 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Strategies Important?

Drug rehab marketing citations has become a difficult task for generating leads. You probably clicked on this article to find out what new trouble is going on with addiction treatment centers owners. If you don’t know what a citation is and how it can generate treatment calls you are in the correct place.

Citations are the foundation that enable you to rank on page one of Google. Google critically checks these for several reasons. It wants to know you are a legit business therefore you must register on highly rated listing websites. Google also wants to prevent spam in the maps section. Many rehabilitation centers have done a poor job with citations.

There is a considerable increase in the number of Addiction Treatment Centers countrywide and new marketing laws. If you’re solely relying on boots on the ground your center is a great risk on many levels. This also means to attract more clients to your center; you must find a way to rise above the competition.

Your advertising and marketing strategies must be exceptional both on and offline. Every successful business today has an online presence. Let’s look at how you can improve your online marketing strategy.

99% of Drug Rehab Marketing Doesn’t Rank on Google

Almost-all-addiction-treatment-centers-do-not-understand-drug-rehab-marketing-citationsOld drug rehab marketing strategies die hard. Rehab Owners have always relied on PPC as their main strategy. In 2019 that strategy is no longer as effective. The benefits of organically ranking on page one of Google for key terms greatly outweighs PCC. Since 99% of your competition is not there, this is the best way to compete against the big players and the aggregates. Consider this, Google AdWords, or PPC only generate 2% of page one clicks. Google Maps and the first three organic slots get about 60% of the clicks. The best part is you do not have to pay for the click over and over again.

Try and Google “drug rehabs” followed by your city. Then Google “drug rehabs” followed by your state. In an example, drug rehabs Los Angeles, and drug rehabs California. You can see who is paying for the clicks and who ranks in maps and the first three slots organically. You want to rank on page one for all your key services like;

  • Drug rehabs
  • Inpatient drug rehabs
  • Outpatient drug rehabs
  • Opiate detox
  • Alcohol detox
  • Sober homes

Drug Rehab Marketing Citations Help Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Drug rehab marketing citations and SEO go hand in hand. SEO is a process used to improve a website’s rank in Google’s search results. For every addiction treatment center to successfully create marketing campaigns, they must follow certain steps in search engine optimization. What are the top 3 things to do for SEO with drug rehab marketing?

  1. Start by doing keyword research. This is the first step in optimizing your website. To do this, use platforms such as Google Keyword Planner which will help you explore the various keywords others in your industry use. Having knowledge of these keywords is imperative because it helps you develop a marketing strategy in the same language your audience uses to communicate. So when potential clients are looking for an Addiction Treatment Center, they will most likely search using the same wording thus making it easier for them to find your site.
  2. Once you identify your keywords, use them in various pages of your site, ensuring you have one primary keyword for each of your pages. This helps in ranking your site’s individual pages each time someone uses a unique keyword to your nice. It helps you grab the user’s attention before they can move on to your competitors’ sites.
  3. Over and above using the right keywords, SEO also involves instinctive site design. This means ensuring your images are adequately compressed, videos embedded, and that your site has efficient HTML coding. When all these elements are put together, your site will have a greater presence that attracting new clients to your Addiction Treatment Center.

Capitalizing on Back-links Increases SEO

good-drug-rehab-marketing-generates-backlinksThe key to drug rehab marketing on the web is back-links. This was a lesson learned by drug rehab centers in Florida. The new marketing laws originated in the Sunshine State. Once these new laws started many ethical operators found themselves struggling. Back-links also known as external or inbound links are those that point from other sites back to yours. When back-links are used properly, they help search engines decide how popular and authoritative your site is, as well as its relative significance on the web.

Back-links ultimately help make your site popular. In Google’s algorithm for Page Ranking, every time a hyperlink occurs in a web page, it is taken as a vote of confidence for that particular page’s websites recommend other sites with quality content to their audiences. This is why drug rehab marketing citations are important. For instance, a pharmaceutical site is likely to an Addiction Treatment Center. A website about fishing licenses is likely to link to a site about fishing and so on and so forth. So, the more other sites back-link to yours, the higher your SEO ranking.

Building SEO Back-links Requires a Good Drug Rehab Marketing Agency

main-goal-of-back-link-building-is-to-rank-on-page-one-of-GoogleA good drug rehab marketing agency will know to build industry back-links. Back-links are not just about making your site popular. They are a key component of drug rehab marketing. Your site will not just get a good Page Rank because of the number of times other sites have linked to yours. The system also factors in trust, authority, and relevance of your site and content.

In fact, some back-links can work against your ranking. If your back-links seem unnatural, Google will penalize you thus pushing your site further down in the Page Rank system. For instance, if your Addiction Treatment Center is back-linked to a Hunters Club website, this would be an example of unnatural back-links.

The basic guideline for using back-links is:

  • Good back-links are derived from authority websites in your industry. These are non-spam-my websites with content that is similar to that on your site. They are from experts who write about topics similar to yours. However, you can get creative and use drug rehab marketing on websites for cities and towns..
  • Bad links are those that are derived from websites that have no relationship to yours. For example, an insurance brokerage site back-linking to a dog training site. Search unnatural links only harm your ranking.
  • Ugly back-links are those that come from spam sites, link farms, sell links and sites with poor quality content.

What Are Drug Rehab Marketing Citations?

citations-are-a-source-of-back-links-for-drug-rehab-marketingNAP stands for name, address, and phone number. This is the basic info businesses provide on their online platforms to make it easy for clients to find them. Additional information that is important to have on your site includes hours of operation, the physical location of your business, type of business, and social profiles aligned to your business.

Every time NAP data is recorded on a site, it is referred to as NAP citation. NAP citations are crucial in making your business visible both online and offline. They also help users to understand what your business is about, what services you offer and how to reach you. If NAP citation is not properly done, however, they can send mixed signals to core search engines such as Google and data generators, leaving those who visit your site more confused about you and your business.

Citations Relationship to SEO

Poor citations equal bad drug rehab marketing which translates to SEO ranking. This is one of the lessons that need to be learned from “Drug Rehab Marketing SEO Vs. Digital Darwinism.” It’s a crucial lesson because search engines also rely on understanding your business when ranking.

So how can you build citations for your Addiction Treatment Center? Marketing for an Addiction Treatment Center differs from marketing for any other business. It’s critical to use the correct citations for this unique industry. Search engines such as Google already know a whole lot about your business.

However, it still needs to use aggregated data to make decisions on what is displayed in search results. For instance, if a user types ‘find a drug rehab close to San Diego, California, Google can decide to use a local citation of your Addiction Treatment Center in Indiana in displaying the search results.

California Drug Rehabs Need SEO

Addiction treatment marketing specials provide valuable information for drug rehabs

Drug rehabs Los Angeles are struggling from new patient brokering laws and Legit Script certification. To be eligible for Google AdWords, and PPC on Facebook you need Legit Script certification. This is making it difficult for many addiction treatment centers across the US.

This is also true for the best drug rehabs San Diego rehabilitation centers. They have little understanding in search engine optimization. They are uneducated on the over 200 ranking factors that Google spiders are looking for to rank pages.

Getting on the first page of Google is a difficult task even for the best drug rehab marketing and SEO specialists. This process takes time. Rehabilitation centers can expect to wait for about 90-days to be making an impact on the SERPs. However, the payoff is that the first 3 organic rankings on page one of Google get bout 60% of the clicks.

Citations Are Not a Guarantee of Page One Rankings with SEO

A citation is not a guarantee that your business will appear in the search results but it’s very useful for location-specific searches. Google always takes into consideration local citations when presenting search results. That is why your NAP citations should be as specific as possible. While citations are the foundation of SEO, there are many other things that must be done.

Here is where the biggest problem for drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers lie. There is so much to be done however this comes at a cost. Many CEO and Marketing Directors do not have a large enough drug rehab marketing budget. They are too used to using pay per click which is not as effective in 2020. Drug rehab SEO takes time, money, and dedication to work. It takes approximately 3-4 months to start ranking for popular long-tail keywords. This only happens when many things are done correctly.

For Addiction Treatment Centers, citation building and local marketing yield best results. When business owners work with industry experts who understand the relevance of vertical directories. Working with a professional will help guarantee visibility and the highest reach for your Addiction Treatment Center, within the addiction treatment industry.

How To Strategically Build a Referral Network in California?

In 2020 it’s critical for California drug rehabs to build a referral network. They can do this with calculated drug rehab marketing strategies. Most of us have heard the phrase, “You can’t be everything, to everyone,” right? Unfortunately, when it comes to drug addiction and mental health, that statement does not ring true. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by this illness. It could be our own families, friends, co-workers; even some of us in our own lives have dealt with this affliction.

There are several proven strategies in the digital media space. This is a crucial step you need to take, to achieve your goals of building your treatment center in today’s world.

What Are the Top 7 Reasons Drug Rehab Marketing SEO Strategies are Needed in California?

detailed-information-on-the=top-7-reasons-why-social-media-is-used-for-drug-rehab-marketing

Getting involved with social media is more important in 2020. Utilizing social media for lead generation and generating treatment calls can do two things. It will generate immediate leads and it will also increase SEO and organic page rankings on google. Here are the top 7 reason’s for drug rehab marketing strategies.

  1. Decreased Marketing Costs – The first, and most important reason that businesses use social media, is the fact that is the most cost-effective way to market a business – by far. By keeping marketing costs down, businesses can then use that capital for reinvesting in, or expanding, or whatever they see fit for their business.
  2. Increased Inbound Traffic – Social Media Profiles are valuable for creating an avenue for clients to begin to engage with you. By keeping up your presence with original content, adding other sites links back to your treatment centers website and distributing those linked posts on multiple social media platforms, you open up all those channels for another opportunity for a new visitor or client. The more quality content you release on social media, the more inbound traffic you’ll generate, and the more customers will connect with you.
  3. Connect with Potential Clients – Many people today log into their social media accounts often and the more your information is being promoted the more change they will use your product or service. Did you know 74 percent of Facebook users visit daily?
  4. Build Relationships with Current Clients – By continually posting and monitoring your social media channels, you will be able to promote the different levels of care you offer and treatments, as well as handle any questions or concerns in real time. Unlike print, radio, or television, you will be able to see exactly how your promotion is doing by the amount of engagement, likes, shares, comments, etc.
  5. Higher Brand Authority – By syndicating information about your treatment center, your brand will soon become the authority in your industry, or at least in your local area. For example: by providing information and answers, for those individuals with questions about what recovery options are available in a post, they will often share that information. With your brand prominently placed, it can further your reach and will contribute to the growth of your network.
  6. Better Search Engine Rankings – SEO is vital in 2020 with drug rehab marketing strategies. Google has always stated that they rank a website higher by the content on that site, and how useful a person searching for that info might find that site & content to be. By posting relevant content about addiction treatment, mental health, and new therapy options, the search engines will see you as the authority in that market – thereby, awarding you with higher rankings. This is especially true for local businesses that are actively receiving online reviews, as well.
  7. Social Media is the New Search – For many people today, when they are on their computer or mobile phone and have a need for a particular product or service, they are now as likely to search on their social networks for the answer from their friends and groups, as they once were to use Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. This means that for a large number of individuals, when they need to look for a drug treatment center, they are more likely to look to their online social networks for possible solutions, rather than just using a search engine, such as Google or Bing. And the numbers in this group grow every day.

Successful treatment centers are already marketing this way. You are losing business by not being actively involved with social media. The sooner you begin, the sooner you will see the benefits of building a virtual community, by watching your followers share with their friends and so on. Don’t lose this business opportunity to your competitors, by sitting idle. Imagine if you started a year, or even six months ago, how much new business you would have.

The bottom line is, the longer you wait, the more you have to lose. Social Media is here to stay and only getting bigger. When it is done right, it leads to more traffic and more clientele.

Content Drug Rehab Marketing Strategy

content-is-the-key-in-2020-for-addiction-treatment-centers

So, how does your drug rehab marketing stay consistent on Social Media in relation to your blog in 2020?

The answer is content. Consistent content, meaning you post every day on social media, and as often as you can on your website. When asked whether back-links or content are better, the answer is they are both important implementing both is the ideal strategy. Sadly, many people in the drug treatment industry have been burned before by “SEO” companies. This is because they either don’t understand link building or don’t have the resources to do “white hat” link building. The outcome from this has been a loss of time and revenue for many in this industry.

Content is one of those items you can control, because you are the one placing it on your center’s website, as well as sharing it on Social Media. Actively controlling content is important with drug rehab marketing strategies. You then have the further option to boost that material. This can be done using smart channels organically or by paying Google and Facebook to promote that content for you. that is assuming you have Legit Script certification and are approved to use the paid platform. Will get into why Google Ad Words is costing many small to medium size centers to waste huge chunks of marketing dollars.

How Can California Use a Drug Rehab Marketing Content Strategy?

California drug rehabs like Harmony Grove Recovery are feeling the pressure of new marketing regulations. They need to understand how to use content. Content marketing refers to the management of basically any & all content that you create and own. This could be written, visual, or even a downloadable PDF or E-Book. It is the piece of your marketing strategy that continuously demonstrates who your treatment center is, and should highlight the expertise you offer to your industry.

Surely, you know how important unique content is to the growth of your digital asset. However, when you establish a drug rehab marketing content strategy, there are some key things you should think about. Among those are:

  • Does your content have SEO for keywords?
  • Who are you creating the content for?
  • What is the question, you are going to answer for that audience?
  • How is your program unique?
  • What content formats will you produce?
  • Which channels will it be released through?
  • How will you manage the creation and publication?

Again, by building great content, the search engines will reward that page with rankings. When content is done right, it will be shared across all the social networks. This is the goal – to create social signals and back-links.

Drug Rehab Marketing Using SEO How to Beat the Big Boys in California

drug-rehab-seo-outperforms-Google-AdWords-and-PPC

How to increase drug rehab SEO strategies? We look at 100’s of addiction treatment center websites every month. Over 90% do not have search engine optimization. Some don’t even have a blog, and the ones that do have glaring issues. Here are some of the biggest mistakes made by substance abuse treatment centers on their blogs;

  • Length of the blog is only 600-800 words
  • The content is just fluff, it is not attracting, engaging, and does not touch an emotional level
  • No H Tags or useless H Tags
  • There are no pics, or pics are missing keyword ALT descriptions
  • The blog post is not focused on a single long tail keyword
  • No SERP descriptions, or too short, or too long
  • Blog posts are not categorized for long tail keywords
  • Orphaned blog posts

Drug rehab SEO blog writing has not been used because centers have traditionally relied upon Google Ad Words and “boots on the ground” strategies. With increased competition, new laws and regulations this is not viable for the small to medium size rehabs. Some of the big centers and treatment call centers are spending in excess of $500,000 per month. They are also paying less for the same keywords than the smaller centers.

This leaves the uncomfortable territory of Drug Rehab SEO. We’ve watched many Florida centers fall because they failed to adopt a search engine optimization strategy. The thing is paid ads only get 2% of page one clicks. Google maps and the first three organic listings get 60-70% of page one clicks. You also need to consider the paid ads are generating a lot of Medicaid and Medicare calls.

Press Releases Used Correctly Increase SEO and Back-links

press-releases-help-drug-rehab-marketing-and-SEO-for-addiction-treatment-centers

Press releases are an underutilized tool in drug rehab SEO. Most press release services do not cost a lot of money, and you are able to reach a large number of people. Compared to other paid online advertising, press releases when done properly can be a more financially efficient way of advertising.

We recently sat down with Kevin Leonard, CEO of The Recover an industry leader in drug rehab marketing and press releases. Here is what he had to say;

Consumers are affected by many online channels. Whether its a post to social media, or what’s discovered through a Google search; it will have a considerable influence on how your consumers view your drug treatment center, the recovery business, and your competitors.

The Recover is a health and addiction news resource, which provides non-bias information about health-related topics. As a trusted news source, our stories get picked up by ABC, NBC, CBS, Google News, and many others. Our articles have the ability to reach over 50 million readers through our affiliate network of news outlets. For information about our services please contact our office to discuss a strategy for your treatment center.

They have assisted drug and alcohol treatment centers in boosting online awareness, driving website traffic and reaching brand-new consumers. A press release is one of the best ways for centers to build back-links, increase awareness and is a cost-effective way to impact your treatment center’s growth.

How to Effectively Use Press Releases for Drug Rehab Marketing

As many substance abuse treatment centers don’t understand SEO,. They know even less about effective press releases. Two of the main struggles are what websites are best for distribution, formatting the content, and what type of “stories” are actually newsworthy. Keep in mind legitimate press release services will not allow you to publish general information or self-promotion types of posts.

opiate detox West Palm Beach is educating on Narcan and nalexone.

Opiate Detox West Palm Encourages Narcan Education

Opiate Detox West Palm Encourages Narcan to Prevent Overdose

This article, opiate detox west Palm encourages Narcan Education to save lives. Hopefully will bring light to the negative stigma that is being reinforced by the media. Headlines below are in newspapers, magazines, and reported on the daily news now on a horrifyingly regular basis. Many of these articles have perpetuated that Narcan entices addicts to continue to use. This article provides much needed information on this life saving drug.

Typically, in the context of somebody who was found unresponsive and unable to be resuscitated from opiate overdose.  The sad and scary reality is that novel opioids, not FDA approved drugs and often not even labeled for human consumption, are constantly being synthesized and sold by drug dealers across the globe.

Basically, clandestine scientists work in the laboratory to move some atoms around, making synthetic opioids such as acryl fentanyl or tetrahydrofuran fentanyl from known parent drugs like fentanyl (which is the most potent FDA-approved opiate used in human medicine at about 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and 30 to 50 times more potent than heroin).  The drug dealer’s goal is to make a cheaper, stronger, easier to transport product to get addicts “higher” and make more money.  The unfortunate side-effect is that these new synthetic opiates are so strong, in fact, that people are dying from the minutest amount laced into what they think is heroin.

Headlines on Narcan and Naloxone

Narcan and neloxone education are needed

Some think Narcan is giving a license to addicts to continue using knowing they can be brought back to live. Fact check, this is not true. This is one of the reasons why opiate detox West Palm encourages learning how to administer this drug across populations. The headlines have been all over.

“New Naloxone-Resistant Drug Acrylfentanyl Is a Public Health Emergency” (Cision PR Newswire); “Narcan-resistant Drug Appears in Indiana” (EMSWORLD); “Narcan resistant synthetic opioids found in Kentucky” (New Objectives/Blog); “Fentanyl Found in Georgia Resists Life-Saving Naloxone Antidote” (Newsweek)

Logic would dictate that people would never intentionally put something that could very easily kill them into their bodies.  But, logic and addiction are often mutually exclusive, and so goes the unrelenting strength, power, and counter intuitive destructiveness of the disease.  As a matter of fact, addiction treatment patients say that when they hear somebody has overdosed they will intentionally seek out that person’s supplier because it is “good stuff”.  Very scary situation and one which has cost countless lives as this opioid epidemic rages on. This is not because they say “Narcan will bring me back, so it’s OK to continue using.”

Narcan Education Can Save Lives

The second reason opiate detox West Palm encourages is it saves lives. There is another problem seen by opiate detox West Palm. These these new synthetic opioids- the so-called “Narcan-resistant” concept of these powerful drugs.  The most common cause of mortality in opiate overdose is fulminant respiratory depression (i.e. the patient simply stops breathing).  If the patient stops breathing there is no oxygen inhaled to reach vital organs such as the heart and brain.  Prolonged respiratory arrest leads to death or permanent organ damage.

Lives can be save while Opiate detox West Palm encourages Narcan use.

Brain damage from cerebral anoxia can occur in as little as six minutes.  Narcan is the one pharmacologic “antidote” we have to combat acute opioid overdose and death, but it can be far less effective when new synthetic opioids are in the patients’ body, making overdose, organ damage, and death all the more probable even when Narcan is given promptly.

To be completely accurate, the term “Narcan-resistant” is a bit of a hyperbolic misnomer.  Narcan will still work in patients overdosing on these new synthetic opiates- that pharmacology doesn’t change, but much, much more is needed to reverse respiratory depression and stave off death.  This is because synthetic opiates bind so strongly to the body’s opiate receptors where Narcan is trying to attach to reverse the opiates’ effect.

This relative resistance is one reason that Evzio, a Narcan auto-injector (think Narcan epi-pen), recently increased their dose from 0.4mg to 2mg.  The 2mg dose is certainly more effective. however, there are even still cases where it is not potent enough!  What this comes down to is that we need some other method to be able to keep patients alive, keep oxygen-rich blood circulating to vital organs, until EMS can arrive, stabilize, and transport the patient to the emergency department.

Opiate Detox West Palm Says Learn Overdose Prevention Skills

Opiate detox West Palm Beach is only one city in the US that is trying to educate on Narcan. Drug rehabs Across the US should be providing widespread proficiency and training in overdose prevention. Particularly treatment centers, sober homes and patients’ family members, who are in contact with those suffering with addiction.

Overdose prevention means the proper administration of Narcan. It’s, the ability to activate emergency response and initiate CPR, and the utilization of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).  These are all necessary skills if we are to do everything we can to save a patient who has overdosed on opiates. Please consider learning these life-saving skills of “overdose prevention”

Drug Rehabs Losing Business Marketing Focus

A Snapshot of the business and Drug Rehabs Marketing Side

Drug rehabs during 2019 and for approximately the last five (5) years have been experiencing a trend which has been infecting the financial health and welfare of the addiction treatment industry. Dale Redlich, CEO of Pay-2-Patient and well respected past treatment center owner for over 20 years provides this article with his insight on some issues that owners are facing in our industry with this article.

Drug rehabs have been experiencing a trend that has manifested itself in recent years with;

  • downsizing
  • bankruptcies
  • selling off of assets
  • staff firings
  • lack of staff replacement
  • lack of staff additions
  • lower staff salaries
  • changes in marketing techniques
  • development  of joint ventures with financially sound publicly traded companies
  • mergers and acquisitions

In addition, there is a desperate attempt by many owners and operators of addiction treatment facilities (including the detoxification and lab segment) to develop new relationships. These include banking, investment, and other financial relationships which might result in an infusion of new capital into an otherwise unhealthy marketplace. Basically, inexperienced drug rehabs and operators where wasting financial resources in an attempt to “out do “ their competitors. They are trying to offer more and more luxury within their drug rehabs. They are attempting to compete for a very limited supply of high paying clients

This trend has and will continue to affect not only full-service outpatient, PHP, inpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers West Palm Beach and across the nation, but also all of the ancillary support businesses including, sober living facilities, halfway houses, and private practice therapists as well as labs.

Drug Rehabs Pain Points

Drug Rehabs and Addiction Treatment Centers SEO warning SignsThe signs have been evident for a substantial time period, but the problem has been and will continue to grow more severe as time continues. The main pain points of drug rehabs are marketing and billing. These are the two hands that are feeding any addiction treatment center.

Many centers have poor drug rehab SEO that is costing them big dollars in the wasted marketing budget. The second biggest pain point is the abundance of money left on the table from substance abuse billing and utilization review. The biggest concern is that some owners think they have this under control. The reasons for this trend varies but in general, it can be seen as being attributable to a number of predictable factors such as;

  • poor marketing strategies and  drug rehab SEO solutions
  • a severely growing level of competition for the same patients
  • lack of education on the web marketing and search engine optimization
  • changes in the number of payments made for treatment by the insurance industry
  • new and far-reaching legislation which has severely limited the ability of such facilities to engage in traditional marketing
  • a lack of sufficient capital from an operational standpoint
  • rapid and unnecessary expansion
  • an attempt to offer only the most high priced luxury

It may also be seen as a failure of the new wave of financially inexperienced and under capitalized drug rehabs and opiate detox West Palm Beach centers who have been unable to foresee such trends and also have miscalculated the effects of massive changes occurring in the insurance marketplace both for in-network and out of network providers.

Insurance Companies Controlling the Drug Rehabs

insurance companies playing games with substance abuse billingOne area which evidences this trend in the insurance industry. It is the growing direction for providers to attempt to change from out of network to full in-network providers. Most facilities these days are desperately becoming only in-network providers even though the amount per day paid by the carriers for in-network benefits has steadily been falling.

No longer do the carriers have to devise methods to try to force drug rehabs to become in-network.  It was only a few short years ago when the carriers were paying exorbitant amounts per day to out of network providers and the thought process of owners at that time was to remain out of network in order to reap the benefits of the absurd amounts of money which the carriers were paying for out of network benefits.  This could not continue forever.

When Insurance Companies Send Payment Directly to Clients

In fact, there are some insurance carriers such as Federal Blue Cross and Empire in Florida which continued to pay large unsustainable amounts directly to centers clients. The carriers continue to issue their reimbursement checks directly to the patient or subscriber. This results in many cases with the insurance checks being cashed by the patient. Thus the drug rehabilitation center is out of their earned money. If you are in this situation you can contact Dale Redlich, CEO of Pay 2 Patient at 954-592-1921. They specialize in collecting from insurers that pay the patient directly.

Understanding Drug Rehabilitation Centers Money Owed

drug rehab marketing and addiction conferences educating centersObviously, this was and continues to damage the providers financially. They are rendering services in good faith but never receiving the checks from the carriers.  The reality is that many providers did not even realize that their check-in reimbursement for services rendered had not even been sent to them by the carrier. Some of the providers are losing exorbitant amounts of money in this fashion. Many do not realize this when it is happening.

The result of all of the above circumstances is that the drug rehabs have split into the “have’s” and “have-nots”.  If you attend industry events you will likely realize that not only have the attendance numbers plummeted but the actual exhibitors themselves. They are often comprised only of the larger most well funded (and often time owned by publicly traded companies). Many centers are looking for smaller, focused events that also provide business and drug rehab leads education to survive the competitive landscape. In addition, they need to implement strategies of how to properly prepare for these addiction conferences.

Allocating Drug Rehab Marketing Drug Rehab Marketing Dollars

It is unbelievably expensive for a facility to finance large numbers of their marketing staff to attend these events. Many are only marketing to other marketing staff from other facilities. This is financial lunacy, without getting educated on proven business and marketing strategies. Unless the provider has extremely deep pockets which some of them still do.

The savviest operators realize that the money spent on traditional marketing and attendance at events that do not provide proven business and drug rehab marketing practices. The money spent is much better utilized with drug rehabs leads, social media and other types of online selling of their services. One of the biggest mistakes they make is using boots on the ground as their main marketing strategy. Without a robust, healthy and planned marketing mix, many are at great risk of closing their doors.

Getting Control Over Debt Collection and Revenue Cycle Management

Substance abuse billing and revenue cycle management are critical areas for owners. So, where does this leave us? The purpose of this article is to educate drug rehabs on the vast amount of lost revenue that is left on the table. The key areas that need to be addressed are; billing,  utilization review, and drug rehab SEO marketing.

increasing lost revenue with utilization review and revenue cycle managementHowever, at the same time that are certain methods which at almost no cost can result in the infusion of additional capital into a sagging P/L statement. Substance abuse billing and debt collection with revenue cycle management for drug rehabs is one potential partial solution to the financial problems being experienced in the healthcare industry and in particular, the addiction treatment industry.

The collection of a debt is a financial strategy which has been around since the time of the money lenders in biblical times. If a company lends money, or advanced money or fails to receive legitimate funds on component aspects of its business it should be entitled to take appropriate action steps to recover the resulting debt if such debt is attributable to the loan or advancement of funds to the potential debtor. There is nothing immoral about a company taking steps to collect its fair debt, In fact, it is business malpractice not to go after the fair debt which is owed.

What is Drug Rehab Revenue Cycle Management?

Revenue Cycle Management is a fancy way of describing the method of tracking accounts receivables.  Utilizing such funds at the appropriate time to pay the operational internal debt on an ongoing and predictable basis is critical. Substance abuse billing and revenue cycle management are two key areas centers to look at closely. Drug rehabs are leaving 20-30% of their revenue on the table. Treatment centers need to evaluate their substance abuse billing every year. It is advantages to bring 2-3 billing providers every year.

Evaluating several different substance abuse billing and utilization companies will ensure there is no money left on the table. The insurance companies are playing games with reimbursements, and these companies on the front line. Many billing companies will get lazy after the low hanging fruit is gone. There are many drug rehabs that are owed big dollars. Not knowing how to code is only one of the issues causing this problem. This is one of the biggest areas causing centers to close across the nation. This is one of the topics we are covering in our upcoming addiction conferences EMP Series event on 1/22/19.

Reclaiming Precious Drug Rehabs Operating Capital

The problem experienced by the addiction treatment industry now in many cases is that the provider company has not taken sufficient steps to ensure that it has sufficient operating capital. The money gets spent in a variety of other ways as described above. And oftentimes there are is no margin of error for drug rehabs which results in layoffs and other dire consequences.

It defies our understanding of why a health care provider which is owed money would not take every reasonable and legal action to collect money which it is owed. It seems to be lunacy but at the least very bad business practice.

Reclaiming Drug Rehabs Receivables Doesn’t Cost Much

Substance Abuse Billing #1 Costly Mistake for drug rehabsThe return on investment to employ debt collection methods is so low as to beg for utilization. The process is very simple for drug rehabs, but at the same time there are Federal and State regulations which must be complied with and of course, the privacy of the patient/debtor needs to be protected. This can all be accomplished by utilization of the proper documentation.

Don’t get me wrong. It is not easy to collect the debt. Collections methods vary depending upon the type of debt, the age of the debt, the identity and location of the debtor, Federal and State Law, peculiarities of the court system, and other factors but the fact remains that the collection of debt can be “found’ money and help immensely in providing additional and needed revenue to the provider  to help with the covering of operational expenses. All addiction treatment centers should have a third party look at their substance abuse billing and utilization review. This will uncover a tremendous about of lost revenue.

Addiction Conferences Educating Drug Rehabs Losing Business Marketing Focus

addiction conferences Get Linked drug rehab SEO and marketing training seminar.

Operating drug rehabs is a difficult task. Operators of substance abuse treatment centers need ongoing education on the business and drug rehabs leads marketing side of behavioral health. New laws, regulations and knowing how the insurance companies are operating is paramount. Marketing, substance abuse billing and utilization review mean big money for drug rehabilitation centers. Evaluating these regularly will produce large checks of operating cash. The addiction EMP (ethical marketing practices) conference series addresses these issues.

BHNR has brought 14 successful addiction conferences to South Florida. These talk show host/town hall-style conferences provided proven business and marketing strategies to operators during the regulation of our industry in Florida. We are proud of these national addiction conferences.

Drug Rehabs Regaining Business Focus to Survive a New Industry

There is nothing dirty, or unseemly or embarrassing about drug rehabs taking every step possible to recover money which it is owed. After, all don ‘t companies which the provider owes money to try to collect such funds? And, if you’re worried about upsetting the debtor then think about the fact that your employees expect to be paid every week and in my own humble opinion those individuals are a lot more significant than the person who owes your facility money.

Whether you are after co-pays, deductibles, self-pay fees still owed,  insurance checks which were sent to the patient, client loans, or other debt your company is entitled to take all lawful means to collect this money.  Drug rehabs not only need to look at their collectibles, but also their substance abuse billing providers. This is one of the main reason centers are closing. The insurance companies are playing games with reimbursements.

Resources for Business and Drug Rehab Marketing Strategies

business and marketing education for drug rehab ownersThe addiction professional referral group is a trusted resource for business, drug rehab marketing, and administrative operating strategies. Our industry is experiencing unprecedented changes affecting the administration, business, and marketing operating procedures. Laissez-faire business strategies are no longer effective. Using the old business and marketing strategies puts organizations in our industry at great risk of closing their doors. We are seeing many addiction treatment centers and opiate detox and sober livings closing their doors. The organizations that are closing all have one thing in common. They stayed with business as usual tactics including boots on the ground marketing, call centers, and Adwords as their main strategies. They all suffered from Digital Darwinism.

The Internet is the #1 Source for Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Centers

internet the number source for drug rehab marketingThe web is the absolute #1 resource to reach potential clients in any business. The number of people using the internet is growing astronomically every day. The light speed growth has caused severe marketing problems for almost every industry. Understanding how to effectively utilize the web to generate clients or customers is an overwhelming task. Almost all treatment centers and ancillary service providers in the substance abuse industry do not understand web marketing. Our industry has traditionally resorted to short-term solutions to their long-term problem of maintaining a census. They, almost always are looking for an instant return (30 days) on their marketing.

Over 90% of our industry suffers from digital Darwinism. Digital Darwinism is when technology moves faster than industries can adapt. Why does web drug rehab marketing outperform all other marketing combined?

  1. Currently, the average person spends nearly 10 hours a day online. Unbelievably, we now spend more time on the Internet than we do sleeping (8.4 hours).
  2. Today there are approximately 7.4 billion people living on the planet, and ~ 23 billion internet of things (IoT) connected devices, which is an average of 3 devices per person. By 2025 it is estimated that there will be over 75 billion IoT connected devices worldwide.
  3. There will be at least 3.5 billion Google searches performed every day. Google also processes over 40K search queries every second. That translates to 1.2 trillion Google searches per year.
  4. Google.com is the most popular website in the world. www.Youtube.com is second and Facebook.com is third.
  5. Internet users have an average of 7.6 social media accounts
  6. The average daily time spent on social is 116 minutes a day
  7. There is a new social media user every 15 seconds.
  8. Facebook Messenger and Whats app handle 60 billion messages a day
  9. Facebook: 2.072 billion users
  10. Youtube: 1.5 billion users
  11. Wechat: 1.12 billion users
  12. WhatsApp: 900 million users
  13. Instagram: 800 million users
  14. Weibo: 600 million users
  15. LinkedIn: 500 million users
  16. Twitter: 330 million users
  17. Reddit: 234 million users
  18. Pinterest: 200 million users
  19. Snapchat: 178 million daily users
  20. Google+: 111 million users

Understanding Drug Rehab Marketing Like You Understand Addiction Treatment

Business and drug rehab marketing strategies for drug and alcohol addiction treatment centersAlmost every addiction treatment center owner understands addiction treatment and has an extreme passion to help others. However, this is only 1/3 of what is needed to run a successful drug and alcohol addiction treatment center. Owners of treatment centers and sober livings also need to completely understand the business and marketing components. They have to be extremely educated in these two areas. Relying upon a drug rehab marketing agency and drug rehab business consultants is extremely risky if they are not educated in these areas. Having a solid education in these areas is paramount for owners and operators. With this key knowledge, operators will be able to tell if these professionals are performing for their organization.

For example, over 90% of substance abuse provider websites are not structurally correct. Poor website development is the #1 and most costly mistake made in web marketing. If a website is not structurally correct, you are leaking Google juice. Every marketing dollar you are putting into web marketing, without having a structurally correct website, is being wasted by leaking Google juice and the opportunity to get on page one of Google organically. It is extremely easy to tell if a treatment center understands web marketing by looking at their website. A website is the foundation of web marketing. If your website is not structurally correct, you are wasting every marketing dollar you put into web marketing.

The top 3 organic slots and Google maps account for 70% of page one clicks. To put into perspective, AdWords or PPC only accounts for 2% of the clicks. While AdWords does produce calls, many of these calls are poor with many asking for Medicaid and Medicare. The top 3 organic leads are much more qualified for the services and insurance provided.

Why is a Website the #1 Mistake in Drug Rehab Marketing?

number_mistake_made_in_drug_rehab_marketingThe # mistake in drug rehab marketing is website development. When you build a house, you build it on concrete. Almost all drug rehab websites are built on sand. Almost all websites in our industry are built by website designers, not website developers. This critical and costly error is the fault of the treatment center owner and the marketing agencies they have used. As an owner, if you understood what needs to be done for proper website structure and drug rehab SEO, you would be able to tell if the professionals you hired are doing their job.

The important difference is a designer will build a beautiful, aesthetically appealing website. A website developer opens the golden Google doors for Google to effectively communicate with google’s searcher. Many addiction treatment centers websites are ascetically beautiful. While this is somewhat useful for the target market, it is not very useful in Google ranking your website on page one. The first part of getting on page one of Google is to have a website that communicates to Google that you can answer the terms that are searched.  Here are some of the common mistakes made substance abuse websites;

  • Is the hierarchy of our website good for Google?
  • Do we have schema (Sign Posts for Google) incorporated into our website?
  • Does our website have a sitemap and have we told Google it’s there?
  • Is our website fast enough on mobile for the new speed update released on July 9, 2018?
  • Are we using Yoast to check the bare minimum for our drug rehab SEO?
  • Are the URL’s for our website correct for SEO?
  • Does our website have an SSL certificate?
  • Does our blog have SEO for our keywords? If so, what are those keywords and how many of the blog posts have made it to page one of Google?
  • Do the main pages of our website have SEO for these keywords?
  • Have we done an H-Tag audit on our website
  • Do our pics have ALT tags and are they geo-coded?
  • Have we done a hyper-local page?
  • Do we have a skyscraper article?
  • Are our Google maps properly coded and placed on our website?
  • How are we building quality back-links?
  • How many citations do we have?
  • Do we understand and utilize your Google Analytics?
  • Do we understand and use call tracking metrics?
  • What is our list of keywords based on our organization’s services? And, out of those keywords which ones can, we easily rank for on the first page of Google?
  • Do we understand Google analytics and how to use it to build our marketing campaign?
  • What posts are producing the most calls from our call tracking metrics?
  • When was the last time we posted in our Google My Business?
  • When was the last time we uploaded pictures in our Google My Business?
  • Are our pictures on the website optimized (GEO and Keywords)?
  • Is our blog attracting and engaging for our target audience?
  • Are we building a targeted and captured social media audience (from SEO visits) of professionals and individuals seeking treatment with our drug rehab marketing on Facebook and LinkedIn?
  • Does our current drug rehab marketing agency provide SEO training?

How Does Boots on the Ground Compare to Web Marketing

Poor-drug-rehab-marketing-strategies-boots-on-the-groundThe industry trend has been traditionally relying upon boots on the ground marketing. While this should be a part of your marketing mix, it should only be one piece. Above you see the astronomical numbers of people using the web and the amazing activity that is produced every day. It is impossible for outreach to obtain even 1% of these numbers. The small to medium players consensus is that we cannot compete with the big players because they are spending too much on web marketing. This is a huge misconception in our industry. The small to medium players can outperform the big players in some areas if they have;

  • Proper website structure
  • On page and off page SEO
  • Use of key long tail keywords
  • Knowing where and how to get PR7, PR8 and PR9 back links

Understanding the Business Side of Addiction Treatment

business-and-drug-rehab-marketing-educationOur industry is experiencing many paradigm shifts. It is critical that operators of drug rehabilitation centers, opiate detox West Palm Beach and sober homes get educated on proven business strategies. The conversations on the business and operation side of our industry are much different than the conversations that outreach professionals have. Only the best-educated CEO’s, Executives and Directors will survive the extreme competition in our 40 billion dollars a year industry. These leaders need to completely understand many different areas;

  • Marketing
  • Billing
  • Insurance Reimbursements
  • Laws and Regulations
  • Electronic Medical Records
  • CRM
  • Licensing
  • Accreditation and Certifications

Addiction Conferences by Behavioral Health Network Resources

What is Addiction Conferences Preparation?

What Are the Goals of Attending Addiction Conferences?

Addiction conferences preparation has benefits for addiction treatment centers, detox’s, sober livings and ancillary service providers. As behavioral health industry professionals, we are experiencing moments of change in how we operate. However, when attending mental health conferences there are several key areas to focus on to get much-needed business and marketing tools.

There are several goals to bear in mind when attending addiction conferences and networking events. These goals vary depending on the position you have with your behavioral health organization. CEO’s, Executives, Directors and Outreach professionals, by design of their role, have different objectives. However, getting out of your comfort zone can pay great dividends if done strategically.

Addiction Conferences Preparation Generates ROI in 2020

Addiction conferences preparation is key when attending behavioral health events.

How to perform addiction conferences preparation?

In 2020 the addiction treatment industry is experiencing many different changes in the business and marketing side. It is vital that you walk away with new business strategies, marketing plan ideas, and drug rehab lead generation sources. The behavioral health industry has several critical pain points that CEO’s and Owners are experiencing.

New operational and marketing laws as spreading across the nation thanks to the new “Florida Model” paving the road with their new patient brokering and operational laws as of July 1, 2017. Getting educated on ethical business and marketing strategies at addiction conferences is paramount at this critical time to survive. Some centers that continued with laissez-faire strategies, resisted change or did not seek the proper education and tools have not survived the red ocean. It is paramount for behavioral health organizations addiction conferences preparation to get specific and strategic intelligence.

CEO’s and Executives Focus on the Big Picture at Addiction Conferences

Drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers, detox’s and sober homes owners have a difficult job. They need to focus on the business, marketing and clinical side of their organization. Many addiction executives are strong on the clinical aspects and addiction treatment in general. Most have started their addiction treatment center because of their strength in this area and their passion to help others struggling with addiction. However, this is only 1/3 of what it takes to run a successful center.

When attending addiction conferences and speaking with CEO

When CEO’s and addiction Executives attend addiction conferences their conversations are much different than the conversation of let’s say Outreach professionals. According to the Harvard Business Review article, “Sales People Need a Strategy for Selling to CEOs,” CEO’s are focused on business outcomes, how decisions affect the entire organization and maximizing their time. The upper management Executives have a much wider business education.

They are looking for business and marketing solutions to their pain points:

  • effective drug rehab SEO marketing strategies
  • substance abuse billing procedures
  • collections
  • a decent EMR (electronic medical records system)
  • admissions processes
  • accreditation
  • legal aspects
  • new revenue sources
  • aftercare opportunities
  • and many more

They generally are not there to network but to find proven and ethical solutions. They are relying on particular presenters, drug rehab marketing consultants and finding the business and marketing expert leaders attending these addiction professional conferences. They are particularly interested in drug rehab marketing strategies and billing as these are two key areas that generate revenue for the organization.

Directors are Guided by CEO’s and Executives Vision

Directors are also focused on the same areas as the CEO’s and Executives. The difference being is that they put the CEO’s and Executives vision into play. It is vital that they get better educated by the conference presenters, exhibitors a few select attendees that are specialists in whatever is on their plate at that time.

While most Directors in the behavioral health industry have in-depth knowledge in many areas, they need to be experts when leading the company in new areas. They also should be evaluating current procedures and ancillary providers on a regular basis (at the very least every year) to save or generate new revenue. All of these carries great responsibility and consume great amounts of time.

What are the roles of CEO's and Marketing Directors?

Addiction conferences preparation can provide knowledge and experience from proven thought leaders, This assists drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers, detoxes, sober livings. However, this can be difficult at times because at many mental health conferences there are several presentations going on at the same time. It is impossible for the Directors to be in two places at the same time. Directors need to pick and choose based on their priorities or rely on another employee to attend the other presentation.

Outreach Professionals and Business Development; Obtaining Tools is Critical

Outreach professionals for addiction treatment centers, detox’s, sober homes and service organizations have an extremely stressful position. Unfortunately, the average Outreach position lasts for about 6-12 months. They can no longer just rely on their personal connections. We have seen this on LinkedIn with our 30,000 addiction and behavioral health level one connections. Viewing these LinkedIn profiles while we are growing our tribes it is very concerning. One of the main reasons is this role has traditionally lacked in gaining useful tools to assist them in their daily jobs.

It’s obvious that Outreach professionals are constantly obtaining new clinical knowledge. However, many are not getting the tools on the business and marketing side of behavioral health that are now paramount in their success. They need customer relationship management (CRM’s,) networking tools and strategies, call center training, overall marketing, branding, social media, email marketing, closing techniques and more. Behavioral Health Network Resources provides LinkedIn training for industry professionals. This training grows targeted connection and teaches how to maximize LinkedIn.

Tools for Preparing for Addiction Conferences

Learn proven drug rehab marketing strategies.

Addiction conferences preparation should be providing some of these tools. These tools are essential in their role in generating drug rehab leads. Many owners and operators do not realize that one employee turnover costs about $20,000. Owners and Outreach professionals should aggressively be seeking these tools. Two of the biggest areas are drug rehab marketing and establishing new referral sources.

Addiction treatment center marketing is such a vast area that there are always new strategies and techniques to be learned. One of many examples is business development professionals need to intimately understand the power of social media. How they portray themselves and what they put on social media is a direct reflection of their organization’s brand. It also affects establishing new referral sources. Many are ineffectively, or not using at all the #1 business networking site in the world. They are wasting valuable drug rehab marketing time, or not utilizing their time on LinkedIn.

What is Addiction Conferences Preparation?

Get outside the box and learn about drug rehab marketing. In any job, position or role getting out of your comfort zone enables you to grow personally and professionally. This can be difficult because human nature gravitates us towards our comfortable circles. At many substance abuse conferences, you see the same professionals forming in the same groups. Yes, it’s wonderful to chat with our familiar circles, however, it should not dominate your time at these events. Getting outside of the comfort zone, obtaining new tools, business education and forcing yourself to meet everyone in the room is paramount in the state of our industry.

This can be an overwhelming experience and non-productive if you are not prepared. Preparation, maximizing time and follow-up can make the real difference when attending substance abuse conferences. To truly get all the benefits the preparation begins far before the event.

Effective Addiction Networking Starts Weeks Before the Addiction Symposium

With addiction conferences preparation, you should be visiting the conference website. For most, you can get an idea of what organizations will be there. Some event websites only list the sponsors and exhibitors, while others will provide a list of everyone including the attendees.

Examine the list on the event website and write a list putting them into categories like A, B, C, and D. The A’s are the organizations that are new start-ups, organizations that you have been targeting, or ones you must chat with at the event. The B’s are your second tier and so forth. Prepare before you attend the conference. By writing the list and bringing it with you to the event you will not miss any opportunities.

Connecting prior to addiction conferences is importantOne of the best ways for addiction conferences preparation is to connect prior to the event.  Most professionals in our industry do not do this. You should at least reach out to your A’s and B’s through LinkedIn prior to the event. Say you want to visit their booth or meet with them at the conference. This soft introduction says you are a professional and you are interested in meeting them. You will also get an idea of who this new potential referral source is and have some background information to reference when you chat at the event.

Sober Homes West Palm Beach May Not Need FARR Certification

Sober Homes West Palm Beach Is FARR Mandatory Update

What;s the Confusion with Sober Homes West Palm Beach, Florida?

Sober homes West Palm Beach and drug addiction treatment centers were confused about the controversial requirements for day/night community providers. Is FARR certification mandatory or not? We now know the answer. We are also providing information on where this ruling is going and what it means to addiction treatment center’s future.

Sober Homes West Palm Beach Regulation Controversy

The controversy was fueled by the new questionable laws that were passed and by random, misleading emails from organizations within the drug and alcohol addiction treatment industry. There have even been personal derogatory remarks and biased opinions omitting facts for personal interest. Such remarks only demonstrate poor professionalism and poor character.

Behavioral Health Network Resources stance is not to interpret either side, but to provide quality information from credible sources. We felt it was our responsibility to educate providers on regulation for sober homes in West Palm Beach to help the understand this controversial matter. We even invited Florida Healthcare Law Firm as our guest at the Addiction Ethical Marketing Practices conference held on 6/27/18. At that conference, Florida Healthcare Law Firm took what turns out to be a highly respected stance against the law and DCF.

Are Sober Livings and Sober Homes in West Palm Beach Required to be FARR Certified?

Are sober homes West Palm Beach required to be FARR certification?Halfway houses, sober homes in West Palm Beach, drug addiction treatment centers have been under great scrutiny for over a year. The Sober Homes Task Force has brought regulations and investigations. The main focus has been to help protect the vulnerable using legal prosecution, heavy fines, felony charges and jail time.

Although they have been quite they are investigating body brokering and building cases. In addition, Even with all the new laws and regulations, there are still some gray areas. One of these gray areas is whether sober homes providing day and night treatment in the West Palm Beach area are required by law to have FARR certification. Congress is investigating 8 drug rehab call centers and demanding documentation on how they have been operating. Congress sent these drug rehab call centers letters requesting detailed and in-depth answers to ten questions.

Drug Rehabs Should Seek Legal Counsel on Sober Homes Regulation and Patient Brokering

Misinformation on 𝙎𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙒𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 Use a Law FirmInterpretation of any law should be made by a specialized attorney especially concerning sober homes in West Palm Beach. Relying on second-hand information or information from your peers could cost you dearly. In light of the misinformed emails, we decided to speak with Florida Healthcare Law Firm, a popular panelist at Behavioral Health Network Resources Ethical Marketing Practices conferences. This what they had to say prior to 6/27/18;

We filed a petition for a declaratory statement on behalf of a drug addiction treatment centerand day/night community housing client concerning sober homes West Palm Beach to get a declaratory statement from DCF in one direction or the other and it has NOT been resolved yet.

Drug Addiction Treatment Centers Fight

Sober Homes West Palm Beach do Not Need FARR CertificationThis is only one piece of the drug rehabs West Palm Beach laws. When asked about why Amethyst drug addiction treatment center filed for clarification, Pamela Springer, Chief Operating Officer with Amethyst Recovery Center stated, “Amethyst supports FARR’s mission and the State of Florida’s requirement for recovery residence certification. However, thus far, DCF has indicated to Amethyst Recovery Center that it does not require FARR certification for licensed community housing.  FARR has stated to us and other providers that Day and Night treatment with community housing must obtain FARR certification or they will be in violation of the law.  This is the reason we sought clarification from DCF.”

Day and night treatment providers with community housing may make referrals for individuals who have completed inpatient treatment, requiring them to step down to an outpatient provider. Many times, clients desire to live in a recovery residence to maintain their sobriety.   In that case, it would be appropriate for the Day and Night Treatment Provider to refer to a FARR-certified recovery residence. Now, California drug rehabs are experiencing the same problems with new patient brokering laws. They will also have to deal with sober homes regulation late in 2019 when those laws are passed.

Are Insurance Companies Involved with the Confusion of Halfway Houses and Drug Addiction Treatment Centers West Palm Beach?

FARR misusing power of new laws for addiction treatment centers and sober livingsThat much is clear. What is less clear for sober homes West Palm Beach and drug rehabilitation centers is whether the FARR position will be used as another way for insurers to drive providers out of business.  The sober homes regulation is just one piece of the many business changes for operators. Patient brokering is costing ethical operators to close because they are playing by the rule, unlike the brokers.

One of the things the addiction treatment industry has seen a lot of in recent years is insurance companies using allegations of regulatory non-compliance as a method of red flagging, auditing and refusing to pay (and recouping payments) for addiction treatment.  Is this latest complication in the addiction treatment industry an opportunity for insurers to do the same thing?  Is it reasonable to expect that large insurer that covers much of a provider’s operating costs will use the alleged FARR certification as a basis for jamming up their cash flow and squeezing operations?

If history teaches anything, it’s to learn from it.  The addiction treatment industry can’t afford to sit idly by and watch.  Uniform application of the law is essential to avoid unfair, unreasonable and unintended results.  Contact us to find out how to join and make your voice heard.

Are Sober Livings and Sober Homes West Palm Beach Required to be FARR Certified or Not?

No, sober livings, halfway houses and sober homes in West Palm Beach are not required to have FARR certification. A provider for day or night treatment with community housing is not required to have FARR voluntary certification.

In a declaratory statement filed 8/21/18, a provider for day or night treatment with community housing is not required to comply with the voluntary certification requirements outlined in sections 397.4871, F.S. in order to operate the community housing portion of its license. The standards for this licensing component are found in Rule 65D-30-0081, F.A.C. Done and Ordered at Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, this 21st day of August 2018.

Attorneys from the Florida Healthcare Law Firm are passionate and highly respected in the behavioral healthcare field. They held a live call, on June 26, 2018, to present an urgently needed update regarding FARR certification. They provided unbias and responsible information concerning the critical confusion. You can contact Autumn Piccolo at 561.455.7700 x112 for any behavioral healthcare legal issues.

Drug rehab social media marketing for lead generation

How Does Drug Rehab Social Media Marketing Work?

Why Drug Rehab Social Media is Needed?

Drug rehab social media marketing is one of the most misunderstood aspects of marketing in the behavioral health industry. It has one of the lowest costs per acquisition and must be included in your marketing mix. We have clients generating 10-15 calls per month with conversion rates over 75%. Anyone that says social media does not generate clients is suffering from social Darwinism. It is an absolute must considering that there are over 2 billion people on Facebook and 550 million on LinkedIn. As in all marketing, you must get in front of your target audience, attract them and drive them to your website.

How to Make Drug Rehab Social Media Marketing Work?

What are useful tools for drug rehab social media marketing? If your drug rehab SEO website development is set-up correctly it will generate the leads driven by social media or Google. The articles you are using on social media must be attracting and engaging with your target audience. They must hit an emotional level with what they are experiencing. The ultimate posts attach the treatment center to that emotion. This is one of the major areas many treatment centers fail. Social media marketing produces several marketing advantages for drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers.

  • Generates high-quality leads
  • Increases SEO
  • Drives targeted traffic to the addiction treatment centers website
  • Provides one of the best vehicles for branding
  • One of the lowest costs per acquisition
  • Greatly assists in local search rankings

Understanding Drug Rehab Social Media Marketing

how does lead generation work for treatment centers? There are several reasons why addiction treatment centers do not understand or utilize drug rehab social media marketing correctly for rehab advertising. It is partly due to the many marketing companies that say they offer drug rehab social media marketing. Many just take your marketing dollars and do very little. This is often done by the large drug rehab marketing agencies offering their cookie cutter option to 100’s of treatment centers.

By the time you figure out that they are not generating leads or website traffic, six months have passed. These companies offer very little education on social media marketing because they are suffering from digital Darwinism. They either do not intimately know these mediums or have not dedicated the resources to grow personal profiles or groups. Many will just grow followers on your business page and do some posts on your business page to show that they have done the work.

Facebook Caught Advertising Agencies with their Pants Down

Facebook algorithm change affects drug rehab social media marketingWith Facebook’s new algorithm change many business profile posts are not getting served. Mark Zuckerburg said, “As we roll this out, you’ll see less public content like posts from businesses, brands, and media,” He also said, “And the public content you see more will be held to the same standard — it should encourage meaningful interactions between people.” The posts that are getting served are from personal profiles, friends, family, and groups. Many marketing agencies can now only offer taking more of your budget to use for paid social media marketing. While paid marketing does work on Facebook, organic works much better and you do not have to pay to get your blog articles served.

Has Your Addiction Treatment Marketing Agency Taught You How to Utilize Social Media?

Social media is something that can be done in-house, however, you must completely understand how to maximize your time. Out of all the marketing agencies that have handled your social media did they;

  • Teach you the secrets, tricks, and back-doors of Facebook or LinkedIn
  • Grow a targeted audience for you that you own
  • Encourage you to do social media marketing in-house
  • Educate you about the advantages of owning groups
  • Teach you how to grow groups
  • Teach you how to get your articles in front of more than 500,000 individuals seeking information on treatment

Chances are that they have not done any of this for your organization. Many drug rehab marketing agencies will not even educate you on proper website development, on-page SEO, how to use blogs, local SEO, long-tail keywords, and Google 3-pack to name a few. This education is paramount for all drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers.

How Well is Your Current Drug Rehab SEO Agency Performing?

Here’s a test for you that will only take 10 seconds. Jump on google and type in a long-tail keyword of one of the services you offer. Then follow it by your geographical location. It will look something like this, opiate detox west palm beach. Now, look at the maps listing on the top of the page. This is Google 3-pack. Local search is one of the best ways to generate leads. It is also the best way to compete against the big boys in the sandbox. Local Google 3-pack ranking should be done by all drug rehab marketing agencies.

If you not ranking in the Google 3-pack for many keywords you should consider another marketing company. You can also check to see if you are ranking in one of the first 3 organic listings on page one for the same long-tail keyword. The organic listings get a whopping 70% of the clicks on page one. Compare this to the 1.91% click troughs that pay per click generates. Again, if you are not ranking in one of the first three organic slots, you should consider changing marketing companies.

Facebook is undoubtedly the #1 social media in the world. There are some recovery advocates that are dominating the groups. Some of these are patient brokers and some are legit. They understand some of the ways to maximize Facebook. They are getting your potential clients because you are not a dominating presence and don’t understand how to use social media.
